The Canadian operation opened in 1917 where SKF Canada Limited distributed bearings from its location on Bay Street in Toronto, Ontario. By 1951, the company built a factory in Scarborough where manufacturing and distribution of bearings took place. In 1982, the manufacturing in Canada was discontinued and the company moved its head office to 40 Executive Court in Scarborough, Ontario.
