Administrative Assistant/Accounting Clerk

Full time, 40 hours per week.

Suitable for individual with bookkeeping background seeking full-time employment

We are seeking a positive and energetic individual to join our well established administration team. The successful candidate must be reliable, self motivated, possess good judgement and be capable of managing and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for areas including…

  • Balance and record daily cash tills
  • Prepare bank deposits and general accounting tasks
  • Accounts payable processing and administration;
  • Accounts receivable processing and adminstration;
  • Basic accounting reconciliations; and
  • All other duties as assigned including many time sensitive tasks.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with staff, customers and suppliers
  • Must be able to read and communicate effectively
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must have strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and be able to multi-task.
  • Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints
  • Must have a working knowledge of the microsoft office suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Extensive knowledge of handling cash and credit card payments and settlements.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $34.00 to $48.00 /hour

Experience:

  • accounts payable: 2 years (Preferred)
  • General Accounting / Bookeeping: 2 years (Preferred)
