Role Overview:
As a Design Engineer, you will take the lead in translating technical specifications into comprehensive design solutions. You’ll collaborate with engineering and project management teams to deliver high-quality, purpose-built designs that meet customer needs.
Job Requirements:
Responsibilities:
Create and refine designs based on project specifications, ensuring compliance with all technical requirements.
Conduct design reviews and oversee the approval process for drawings and production documents.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and project management, to maintain alignment with project goals and budgets.
Perform calculations to support design decisions and ensure structural integrity.
Assist with technical proposals by providing engineering input during the estimation phase.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Structural).
At least 10 years of experience in custom equipment design or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D.
Knowledge of structural codes and standards (e.g., CSA-16, ANSI/AISC 360).
Strong understanding of welding symbols, GD&T, and mechanical system integration.
Ability to work on-site and travel throughout North America.
