Job Description:
Overseeing all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Liens/Lien
Waivers, and Revenue Recognition.
Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any
variances.
Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax
filings.
Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen
internal controls.
Collaborating with project management teams to analyze job costs, and manage the capital budget.
Implementing and driving lien processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Providing leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic
financial objectives.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A master’s degree or CPA is a plus.
Minimum of 5+ years of proven accounting experience in the construction industry (architecture or
engineering would be considered).
Proven experience in driving the financial planning of a company, managing financial risks, record-
keeping, financial reporting, and profitability analysis.
AIA documentation experience.
Proven experience with lien processes.
Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and financial analysis applications.
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various departments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely
analyses.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
